The department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering has several instructional labs that enhance the teaching atmosphere by adding a "hands-on" component to the theory taught within the Mechanical & Nuclear curriculum. The Instructional lab consist of Automatic Controls (ME 355), Fluids (ME 325), Heat Transfer (ME 315), Measurement (ME 345), Mechatronics (ME 597D), Micro-Computer Interfacing (ME 445), Nuclear (NucE 450/451), and Vibrations (ME 375).
Each of these labs are equiped with computers for both data aquisition & analysis and general purpose usage. The computers for these labs are provided by the replacement of computers in our PC Studio. When the computer arrives at the lab, it's only 2 years old and will typically leave 2-3 years after that.
